SUMMER READING FOR ENTERING SIXTH GRADERS
The books that we will be reading this summer are the following:
Number the Stars by Lois Lowry
No Talking by Andrew Clement
Each sixth grader is also asked to choose a book of their choice and read. After reading this book, they should make a 10 question AR test for the book. Each question should have the right answer and three other choices. This will help us increase our AR list for the students. Dear Sixth Graders,
I am very excited about the school year and hope you will be ready to learn and have fun. In Math we will
be using a compass and protractor early in the year so please have these supplies the first week of school.
We sill begin studying about Europe in Geography and will be working on a map of Europe.
On the first day we will start a journal in spelling class and extend it into creative writing.
