Summer Reading 2011

Summer Reading 2011

Students in grades 1 & 2 have a selection of Accelerated Reader books to choose from to complete their summer reading. They should select at least three books from the list.  Forms were included in the report cards at the end of school and should be completed for each book.  Remember, the more you read the better for you!  Special awards and prizes will be given at the year-end elementary awards program.

Grades 3-5 will read the two books assigned to them.  The sixth grade will read the two assigned books and a third book of their choice.  Forms were enclosed in the report card to explain how to write the summary of the book.  This summary will be turned in to the reading teacher at the beginning of the 2011-2012 school term.  You may read more than the required number of books this summer. The more you read, the better your chances will be to receive a special award and prize and the year-end awards day program.
